This rare sword is a real a treat as this was made by the eldest son of Oku Motohira who died quite young in his thirties. However, the skill shown in this sword was indicative of his ability to be worthy of his father's and uncles Oku family lineage. It is such a good sword that this sword was illustrated in theShinshinto Taikan by Iimura sensei who was one of the foremost Japanese sword scholars in Japan right after the postwar period.
